Above all else, Shawn considers her greatest honor to be a called disciple of Jesus Christ. It is through His love and grace that everything in her life flows. Shawn is a long-term HIV survivor aging with HIV, she carries 36 years of lived experience—living and thriving with resilience, faith, and purpose. She boldly shares her story, using her advocacy to empower others and bring hope to communities most impacted by HIV.

She is the CEO and Founder of The Fresh Connection Group PLLC and the Executive Director of HIV POSSIBLE. In 2024, Shawn was appointed Chair of the Broward County Chapter of Sistas Organized to Survive (SOS), a statewide initiative recognized by the State of Florida for mobilizing Black women in the fight against HIV and promoting routine HIV testing. She also served as Chair of the Community Empowerment Committee of the Broward County HIV Health Services Planning Council (HIVPC).

A graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity Compass Program, Shawn serves as a Gilead HIV & Faith Ambassador (Class of 2025). She is also a proud graduate of the HIV Leadership Academy through Gilead Sciences and the Florida Department of Health (2025) and holds certifications as an HIV Peer Navigator and a State-Certified HIV Tester.

Answering a unique calling, Shawn bridges HIV care, Christian faith, and financial empowerment for Black cisgender women and their allies—including LGBTQ+ communities—throughout Broward County. Through innovative programs, workshops, and grassroots engagement, she works tirelessly to reduce stigma, expand awareness, and inspire resilience—grounded in the belief that We Are All HIV POSSIBLE

Franchesca D’Amore is a healthcare leader and community advocate with extensive experience advancing public health strategy, regulatory compliance, and systems improvement. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Broward Regional HIV Planning Council, where she helps guide strategic planning, policy development, and resource allocation to strengthen Broward County’s coordinated system of HIV care.

Within the Council, she has held a leadership role as Vice Chair of Quality Management and has been a committee member of Systems of Care, contributing to initiatives that enhance access to services, improve continuity of care, and strengthen clinical outcomes for individuals living with HIV. Her work emphasizes accountability, data-driven evaluation, and effective coordination across providers to ensure responsible stewardship of public resources.


Franchesca has served on numerous boards and advisory committees spanning healthcare, education, and community-based organizations. She brings a patient-centered and systems-focused perspective to governance, prioritizing sustainable program design, regulatory alignment, and measurable performance outcomes.


She earned her Juris Master degree in Health Care Regulation from Florida State University College of Law, where she developed skills to understand healthcare policy, public health law, and regulatory frameworks. As Founding President of TransEd, a nonprofit organization focused on expanding educational opportunity and strengthening community partnerships, she integrates her professional training and leadership experience to support responsive, high-quality systems of care.
